The Baud family’s first establishment was created in Bonne in the 1850s and became the Buffet de la Gare with the arrival of the railroad in the village.
In 1958, the Buffet was transformed into a hotel and restaurant. For 2 decades, Léonce and Dédé Baud animated and built the image of what became a renowned local institution until their retirement in 1993. They welcomed not only local personalities, but also those from further afield, such as the great Tino Rossi, who never visited the region without stopping off at BAUD to share a good time at his friend Dédé’s table.
Today, Maison Baud is owned by three partners: Chef Christophe Morel, who heads up the kitchen brigade, Vincent Chutin, the establishment’s manager, and Pierre Lafay, a lover of good things.
