The Jet d’Eau fountain, rising 140 metres over the bay of Lake Geneva, is the symbol of the “smallest metropolis in the world”.

The flower clock, found in the English garden, is the world-renowned symbol of the Geneva watch industry.

In the middle of Les Bastions Park, the major names of the Reformation stand guard ion the form of giant statues and bas-reliefs.

The Old Town:
a little historical gem with mediaeval charm!

The Old Town, the largest historic city centre in Switzerland, is dominated by St. Peter’s Cathedral, a key location in the Reformation.
157 steps lead up to the top of its tower, offering a unique panoramic view of the city.
You can then get lost in the charming little streets around it.
Every street harbours one of Geneva’s numerous historical treasures, such as Grand-rue, the street of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s birth, which is one of the most well-preserved of the old streets.

The Palace of Nations houses the European headquarters of the United Nations and is, after New York, the largest UN building in the world. It is open every day and fascinating guided tours are available!

The Globe of Science and Innovation – CERN. Measuring 27 metres high and 40 metres in diameter, this globe is an original landmark both by day and by night. Its “Universe of Particles” exhibition takes you on an immersive voyage through the world of particles, all the way back to the Big Bang!
