The town centre beach – Eaux-Vives Beach

Quai Gustave-Ador, 1208 Genève – Free to access.

Come and discover this new public beach in the town centre of Calvin, open since the 22nd June 2019. This beach is opposite Eaux-Vives park, is open to all and is a huge swimming area with a great atmosphere and free-of-charge.

This iconic place in Geneva Harbour has created a real oasis at the heart of the town for both locals and tourists.

From Annemasse, you are only 22 minutes away from the beach by bike, along the Grand Genève greenway cycle route. There are also several bus lines that stop at the beach, and you can park your vehicle at the Genève-Plage car park.

The trendy beach – The Bains des Pâquis

Quai du Mont-Blanc 30, 1201 Genève – Prices: over the age of 16: 2 CHF, 6 to 16 years old: 1 CHF, free for children under 6 years old.

The Bains des Pâquis is a legendary beach in Geneva and a very popular place where the locals of Geneva like to get together, their feet in the water. Just a few metres from the Jet d’Eau fountain, those looking for sun and relaxation will have a breath-taking view of the lake from this beach.

There are countless activities available in this little slice of heaven, and it’s also possible to eat and drink here.

From 22 July to 1 September, don’t miss the ‘Aubes Musicales’ event, for a musical start to the day between 6am and 7am.

The wild beach – Excenevex Beach

Avenue de la Plage 74140 Excenevex – Free to access.

Surrounded by beautiful Alpine scenery, this is the only natural sandy beach at Lake Geneva with shallow waters, making it perfect for children. At Excenevex municipal beach, you can choose from a wide range of water sports and leisure activities in spring and summer: pedalo boats, fishing, boat trips without a permit, sailing, stand-up paddle, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, flyboard, a huge play area for children, volleyball court, crazy golf, a barbecue area and picnic tables, sun loungers and parasols to hire, and so much more.

You won’t get bored at Excenevex!

The sporty beach – Sciez-sur-Léman Beach

650 route du Port 74140 Sciez – Free to access.

Play area, table tennis tables and a swimming area with on-duty lifeguard in the summer, this wooded area is ideal for families with children… But that’s not all! Thanks to the perfect wind exposure, this is THE ideal place for water sports fanatics: kitesurfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle, sailing, canoeing and kayaking. The choice is yours!

This beach is between the marina and fishing village and is surrounded by countless restaurants and brasseries, much to the delight of foodies of all ages!

Accessible for people with reduced mobility thanks to the tiralo beach chair, available from the lifeguard station.

The family-friendly beach – La Savonnière Beach

Chemin Armand-Dufaux 13, 1245 Collonge-Bellerive, Suisse – Price: 4 CHF per adult.

This beautiful, big stony beach and wooden pontoon to access the lake is in a vast, shaded green area, which is perfect on very hot summer days.

La Savonnière beach is also the perfect place to come and try stand-up paddle!
