Looking to your left you will see beautiful panoramic views of the Arve valley. The source of the Avre river is found at the Swiss border above the Montets past Chamonix, under the Tête de Balme at an altitude of 2,300 metres.
The route passes through the hamlet of Arculinge. Once there take the perpendicular alley on the right which passes through the houses and climb until you pick up the route after having passed through gardens on both sides. The route then descends before climbing again around Moussy. You will pass by the school and town hall on your right and at the next right hand bend take the path that passes in front of the house to pick the road back up.
At this junction take the next immediate left for a progressive descent through fields. The route becomes flatter as you go along the river Foron. Whilst passing through the fields, you will notice beautiful forests and valleys giving an air of tranquillity. Continue between the houses and follow the wide path until crossing over the road to travel along Vuret’s unique narrow street.

VURET - ROUTE TO CUSY via MOUSSY: 1h 20
At the edge of the hamlet, the path climbs by means of a few steps up to the road. Stay on the road until you reach a fork at which point veer to the left. You will pass houses and go along a field on the left. At the end of the field turn right. Once through the forest a beautiful view opens out on the right. The view is enhanced by copses and remote houses, and you might be tempted to stop here for a siesta.
On arriving at the road from Moussy on your right, turn left onto this road and follow it for 100 metres. Rejoin the path on the right under the road where a descent takes you to Moussy whilst going through the undergrowth along the side of a property.
Follow the path down and take the first road on the left which leaves the village. Before the first bridge, a path appears on the right under the orchard. Follow it and enjoy views of the Annemasse countryside and the château at Esery along the way. On arriving at the road, you will be near to a farm which breeds Irish-Cob; magnificent horses originating from Ireland.
Follow the road past the farm to arrive at Cusy. In the town centre, a square with an attractive house and large chimney on the side of a building marks the old forge which would have been industrious in years gone by.
At the crossroads, make a descent and then straight away take the right turn to pick up a path through the fields after having passed some pretty houses. You will then arrive back at the car park.
