It's located in front of the Saint-Exupéry school, a building built to HQE (High Environmental Quality) standards, which started its 1st school year in September 2009.
The square was inaugurated on September 19, 2009 in the presence of Mme Corato, mayor of Boisbriand, Annemasse's twin city in Quebec.
It features a sculpture by Yann Lou Lara, inspired by A. de St Exupéry's "Little Prince". Its shape recalls the movement of the Little Prince's scarf. The artist wanted his work to "give hope, like the school".
During the creation of the work, the school's children participated in the creation of the sphere, the upper part of the work.
