‘It’s a peaceful place to recharge your batteries, and on the way back, as soon as you round the first bend in the road, you’ll feel a gentle nostalgia and the desire to return… The temple is open to the public and the atmosphere opens a vast inner space in which to meditate.’

Review by Dardaine C

Are your body and mind accumulating stress which grows mores exhausting every day, while your phone continues to vibrate non-stop? The time has come for you to disconnect, completely, and recharge your own batteries.

#Height

Before raising yourself, you must take to the heights. Hop into Salève cable car! Once at the summit, your quest for inner peace can begin.
Ready for the short walk to the temple, to feel your mind already begin to clear? Nature awaits you!
Follow the paths through the heart of the Salève forest, as birdsong accompanies your footsteps. Listen to Mother Nature’s melody, let the sounds envelope you, and let go a little more with every step.
Nature is buzzing with energy and life, let yourself feel it too!
The temple comes into view. We hope this stroll through the forest has opened your mind and you are ready to journey with us.

#Immersion

The mantras hanging all the way around the building float gently, caught in the aerial dance of the breeze.
Continue towards the patio of the temple. Did we tell you it is built into the cliff side? Open your eyes wide, and drink in the spectacular view of Lake Leman and the Genevois basin.
A whole new world opens to you. Come, don’t be shy! Step through the doors, but don’t forget to remove your shoes once inside.
A fragrant smell of incense floats in the air and you can hear low murmurings of prayer. The altars are adorned with pieces of Tibetan fabric and offerings. On the main altar, a statue of Buddha radiates its presence throughout the room.
Can you feel the energy of this place? Sit for a moment and close your eyes. The seconds grow longer as you are lulled by the energies around you. They will guide you to your inner self and open you to reflection and self-knowledge.
You have reached your destination: serenity.

#Serenity

Before leaving, take the time to gather your thoughts before the stupa and then visit the temple shop. You’ll find a number of craft items such as relaxing incense, healing massage oils, or traditional Tibetan jewellery.
Would you like to remain in this calm and peaceful state for longer? We’ve found the perfect place for you to spend the night. A unique and colourful cocoon, brimming with charm and located in the heart of the Bornes plain. Sylvia and Hervé’s gipsy caravan awaits you, nestled between Salève and the Crêt du Crozet. These nature lovers have lived in the area for 30 years. They have turned this place into a genuine haven of peace. The ideal spot for a calm night in keeping with a wonderful day.
Namaste.
