His background

Eddy is originally from the Jura and has always had a passion for mathematics and science. He went to study oceanographic research at an engineering school in Brittany, but for reasons beyond his control, he was obliged to switch careers and chose a career in IT instead. With his qualification under his belt, Eddy put his skills to good use in meteorology in Paris, and then moved to the banking sector. This profession led him to the region when he got a job in Geneva and then his first daughter was born. Despite keeping his skills up-to-date, his enthusiasm for this sector waned and he decided to resign in 2019.

Eddy embarked upon his new career during the pandemic and set about creating his own company based on a unique concept that he had thought long and hard about. He began by compiling a list of his passions for board games and the televised game show Fort Boyard, and he realised that the region was lacking in leisure activities for families. He came to the conclusion that parents and children enjoy playing games and going from one room to the next, each with a different theme.

The birth of

Crazy School

Crazy School came about based on the concept of ‘learning while having fun’. Education was central to Eddy’s idea and he took something that always brings generations together to create an entertaining concept that would appeal to people of all ages. Eddy passes his passion on through educational experiences and collaborative games, and now also welcomes companies for team-building activities and incentive seminars. Since the creation of Crazy School, he has been running this company that he hold such great passion for. Eddy now works alongside a team and each member of staff has a clearly defined role, taking some of the operational tasks away from the owner. In delegating certain tasks, he can now concentrate on the strategic development of the games they offer, aiming to improve and create new additions on a regular basis. Eddy has a passion for games himself though and thrives on contact with people, so he still leads some of the group activities at Crazy School, helping participants to let go and make the most of this enjoyable experience.

Eddy is thrilled to be involved in the innovations in the leisure activities on offer in this active and dynamic region. Certain inspirations give rise to new ideas for games such as the ‘Crazy Wall’ that is a celebration of the Olympic Games and tests participants’ memory and speed, or ‘Les Langues Survivantes’ (the surviving languages) that is all about forgotten civilisations. When he isn’t working, Eddy likes to go trail running on his own or with his children in the great outdoors, always with a board game in his bag of course.
