“Boardercross boards for kids is a niche which works well for me, and I love shaping for 7- to -14-year-olds, it’s one of my specialities!”

An enthusiast

Curious and in search of the best riding experience, it all began in his grandmother’s attic. It took just 15 days for him to train with a carpenter, learn to master the tools and understand wood! Loïc continually improved through making his creations.

Following some successful trials, Loïc started up his business in 2014 and began shaping snowboards. Venice Snowboards was born! Success came quickly and the order book continues to grow. He creates 3 to 6 boards a month! His goal is to reach 50 to 60 top-quality boards a year! But, what’s so special about his boards? The answer is quite simple. It’s their shape!

The workshop

Loïc also now passes on his skills and knowledge during courses led by himself. Participants arrive on a Monday and leave with a board to take home on the Friday! Word of mouth works and he succeeds in combining the beauty of wood with the performance of technical materials. This 37-year-old former mechanic’s philosophy is more wood (the core is 100% wood) and less fibre.

Come and meet Loïc in his workshop located in Beaumont at the foot of Le Salève and learn all about his unique craft. But watch out! When he’s not shaping his boards, Loïc puts on his trainers and sets off to run in Le Salève! You may even get to see him roaming the trails around La Croisette!
