Discover a delicious, easy-to-make recipe: the Mont Joux galette. With its crunchy exterior, the melt-in-your-mouth texture of goat’s cheese and the tangy note of pickles, this galette is a treat for the taste buds! A must-try!
Ingredients
– 4 buckwheat pancakes
– White ham chiffonade
– Fresh goat cheese (in this case bûche cendrée)
– 2 zucchinis
– Olive oil
– Lemon juice
– Salt, pepper, dried basil
– 2 red onions
– 50g sugar
– 100g white vinegar
– 150g water
– Toasted pine nuts
Recipe steps
1. Prepare the pickled onions in a jar: place the sliced onions in the jar, add the boiling sugar/vinegar/water mixture, seal and chill for at least 2 hours.
2. Using a vegetable peeler, cut zucchini into strips, season with olive oil, lemon juice, a little salt, pepper and dried basil. Set aside in a cool place.
3. Heat the patties in a frying pan with a little salted butter, then fold them into a rectangle to form a kind of tartine.
4 Now it’s time to dress the galette: first place the ham chiffonade in the center along the entire length of the galette. Then place a few slices of marinated zucchini, interspersed with pieces of fresh goat’s cheese. Top with a few pickled onions and finish with a few toasted pine nuts. Serve with a small green salad, and you’re ready to go!
